This thesis deals with web presentation design, the principles of creating valid XHTML and CSS codes and web pages as such, with focus on their accessibility and usability. All of these rules and principles are used in the design of company presentation of Atego, s.r.o. The web page is created using XHTML 1.0 Transitional, CSS 2.0, PHP and MySQL database system.

Web Site Optimisation

This BSc Project was performed during a study stay at the Coventry University, UK. The goal of this project is to enhance the accessibility and usability of an existing company presentation located at http://www.hcc.cz, boost the site's traffic and so increase the company's revenues. The project follows these steps to accomplish this: a ) A partial refactoring of the back-end (PHP scripts). b ) Transformation of the website contents according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web consortium (W3C) and in particular to those of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). c ) Application of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and analysis of their impact. In this step, the project touches upon the Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

My bachelor’s thesis concerns with describing of principles and rules of correct design of web sites in view of user’s accessibility and usability. These principles and rules are used in creating of a web site for the travel agency TV Tours. The web site is created by means of XHML, PHP and CSS. MySQL is used as a database server. The database is located on the web server APACHE.

The result of this thesis is example web application build on HTML5 and CSS3 which demonstrate their potentiality. This application is web browser of pictures from flickr.com with choise of edit and saves, offline mode and effect improve rich user experience.

The Bachelor's thesis Web standards and responsive webdesign deals with methods and procedures that are suitable for developing responsive website. The thesis also includes familiarization with the origins and history of webdesign and related technologies that it draws upon. The thesis is devided into theoretical and practical subsection.
Theoretical part deals with the history of the web, the development of HTML to its latest version of HTML5 and its semantics, Cascading Style Sheets and its innovations, history of web browsers and particularly techniques suitable for creating responsive web.
The practical part is focused on creating a responsive website using methods and procedures derived from the theoretical subsection.

Innovation of FIT Web Pages

This thesis deals with the web pages quality theory and with the methods of its checking. Furthermore, it shows procedure contributing to creation of modern web presentation of the Faculty of Information Technologies with respect to current trends in web technologies as well as to the requirements specified by web presentation for public educational institution. The objective is to explore web trends among world universities, draw a comparison between FIT web pages and presentations of selected schools, and along with a deeper analysis, specify the imperfections occurring in the actual FIT web presentation. On the basis of this information propose relevant rectification and design new web presentation prototypes. Various methods of Czech as well as international organizations will be mentioned in the thesis. These methods serve as a useful guideline for designing high-quality accessible web presentation as well as a tool for verification and auditing of the aspects fulfilled by the presentation.
